Browsers and Content Negotiation

This site follows the most current standards in Web publishing and it serves its contents as XHTML documents. It's best viewed with modern browsers like Safari, Firefox or Opera.

However, thanks to its architecture which clearly separates contents from presentation, this site gracefully degrades to HTML when accessed by browsers or other user agents that aren't capable of handling XHTML documents (such as Internet Explorer).

It also supports the Lynx text-based browser, in which case it presents its contents with a more ergonomic layout.

A note on Safari: Safari is a excellent browser with good support for XML and XHTML documents. However, due to a known bug in it's rendering engine, for now we serve our contents to Safari as HTML documents.

Accessibility

For visually-impaired users, a high-contrast version of this site is available here. It also features a content layout that works better on screen readers and speech synthesizers.

Users that are more comfortable with text-based browsing may use the Lynx browser to access this site, as mentioned above.

This site uses persistent cookies to store your browsing preferences, such as the content language.
